Resilience

In plants, stress causes resilience -

stronger roots, increased survivability, and a heartier constitution.

Much is the same with the human spirit -

we tend to grow under pressure.

Happy New Year’s Eve!

Before we close out the year, I wanted to take a moment to offer my sincerest gratitude to my clients.

It has been an absolute honor working with you. I’ve been so blessed to share this time working with highly-motivated, good-hearted people who have an innate desire for self-improvement. My 2020 experience was so much more rich and diverse BECAUSE OF YOU.

You have shared your accomplishments and hopes, as well as your heartbreaks and frustrations. We have explored, celebrated, cried, and prayed, and despite the chaos of being in a global pandemic, you have reached incredible goals and milestones this year.

With resilience and resolve, my clients have:

learned to cook, learned to play the guitar, organized 5 generations of family photos, written books, started a new business, designed a website, built STELLAR confidence, fell in love with a new hobby, lost weight, tried new ways to soothe hurts, faced big fears, made more money, sold a house, up-leveled their nutrition, moved across the country, lost a job but invented a new one, become immersed in inspiring creative projects, committed to a new longevity strategy, changed how the business operates, learned to self-love a little more, and brought more happiness to the world.

Thank you for inviting me to be a part of great people doing great things during hard times. 💙

10 Takeaways from a Wellness Coach in 2020

Being a Wellness Coach to such amazing clients in 2020 has reinforced a few important things for me:

  1. LOVE - We are all doing the best we can. Practice seeing with the heart.

  2. COMPASSION - Everyone has struggles. No one is exempt from life’s frustrations or self-limitation.

  3. CONNECTION - Being heard can be deeply healing.

  4. HEALTH - Having a healthy body is part of survival.

  5. BALANCE - Good self-care offers a balanced way of living. Oh, and men need self-care, too.

  6. ACTION - Bravery is beautiful. Taking action in the direction of a dream tends to put a sparkle in the eye and can naturally elevate energy levels.

  7. SELF-LOVE - Having a good relationship with yourself changes how you experience life. In fact, it sets the tone for all other relationships.

  8. CREATIVITY - The right creative outlet can carry a person through difficult times.

  9. PERSPECTIVE - How you see your story determines how you play out your story. Change the way you tell the story, and everything will change.

  10. FUN - Doing what feels good may cause happiness. Enjoyment is a wonderful distraction.

2020 has been so full of contrast, and I will always remember this time for the range of the human emotions it provoked.

In plants, stress causes resilience - stronger roots, increased survivability, and a heartier constitution. Much is the same with the human spirit - we tend to grow under pressure.

I wish you a wonderful end to this challenging, messy, and beautiful year, and I wish us all well as we start anew!
