OCTOBER
A holistic guide for nurturing your WHOLE self this October.
October is a dynamic month full of transitions.
The ancients would say that with two eclipses coming, transformations are afoot, so it’s a good time to stay intentional.
Life knows secrets that you aren’t privy to, so align your heart, let go of any heaviness that holds you down, and let’s see where this goes!
Remember, we are all on this ride together and relationships can make or break the experience.
Nurture Yourself
Body in Balance:
This is a wonderful time to focus on bringing the body into balance, and a powerful way to do this is to tend to and nurture the kidneys.
All of the blood in the body passes through the kidneys EVERY HOUR!
Maintaining a healthy state of hydration allows for the kidneys (and the entire body) to run smoothly, efficiently, and productively.
How much water?: Divide your weight in pounds by 2 to identify the number of ounces of water to consume daily. Example: If you weigh 160 lbs, aim for drinking 80 oz of water.
AROMATIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica): Cedarwood is a potent aromatic tonic for grounding and calming. This earthy aroma is an ally for restoring, preserving, and enduring, making it an ideal essential oil to work with as autumn pulls us to a time of transition and release.
WHAT TO EAT:
Enjoy nourishing, immune boosting foods this month. You are preparing your body for the slower season. What you eat impacts how well you feel - and how well you will feel in the days to come.
WATCH:
You are so much more than skin and bones. The fascia is an often overlooked part of the body that can impact our psychology, posture, and comfort.
LISTEN:
If you wrote a letter to your past, what would it say?
AFFIRM:
“Like the leaves in the fall, sometimes the best choice is to let go.”
JOURNALING QUESTIONS:
Do I feel at war in any place in life? How can I bring more peace?
Are the important relationships in my life in balance?
What do I need to let go of to have a more beautiful life?
Do I need to gain more control in a certain area of life so that I can help steer it in my favor?
