A Long, Lovely Break
Stress, time, and energy are the most common areas that I help coaching clients navigate.
Managing these is the key to creating more happiness in life.
One interesting cause of stress in 2020 has been social media. The majority of my clients have reported feeling stress and negativity after online experiences.
How much impact does it have?
I became curious…
… and granted myself (and my business) a long, lovely break from social media.
And I’m so happy I did! I immediately felt more positive, less stressed, and best of all, I didn’t miss a thing.
In fact, checking out of the online world for a few weeks was a refreshing dose of reality.
Instead of browsing mindlessly, time was spent connecting with my children leading up to and beginning a crazy new school year.
Fresh, healthy meals were enjoyed, and new artistic endeavors were attempted.
Scrolling was traded for strolling with the dog, and in lieu of early mornings online, waking time was devoted to more mindful moments and creating content for Weaving Alchemy.
It was a perfect reminder that how you spend your time is how you spend your life.
So, spend wisely.
I highly recommend trying a “Social Media Break,” especially if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed. Disconnecting from social media actually strengthened my connections with others, because consciously managing our “inputs” is the ultimate form of self-care. Setting limits to protect valuable time and energy creates space to do more of what you love.
If you’d like help taking control of your time and energy, or would like to have a deeper conversation about alleviating stress and feeling better, I’d love to share more about my coaching and support services. Email relax@weavingalchemy.com to connect.
Enjoy!
