Habit helper
Hello friends!
Learning to evaluate personal habits is one of the most invaluable tools for developing self-growth, wellness, and happiness.
This is why, as a coach, some of the topics that I commonly discuss with clients first are their personal habits. We explore which habits are beneficial and which are destructive.
It only takes a bit of focus on the right things to make major positive changes.
Do the simple Two-Step
Step 1: Know your goals.
Step 2: Build habits that will help you reach them.
Life is a reflection of your habits with a few wild cards thrown in.
The Habit Helper
I created this 31 Day Habit Helper to help my clients create meaningful changes, and I am excited to offer it to you, as well!
I chose 9 areas of focus that have been proven to add more substance, fulfillment, and satisfaction in life. The 10th space has been left for you to include any habit that you are personally working on. Feel free to cross out any of the topics and replace them with meaningful themes.
Meaningful Habits
Love: Create meaningful moments of connection, acts of service, tenderness, hugs, loving touch, time with people, pets, etc.
Nutrition: Food influences mood, mindset, and physical health. Making whole, real foods a priority can support your highest outcomes.
Movement: Sitting is the new smoking. Getting adequate and beneficial movement supports vitality and longevity. Walking, running, working out, yoga, dancing, golf, etc. - all movement counts!
Hydration: Taking in the appropriate amount of water helps your body work efficiently, detoxify appropriately, and helps you look and feel your best
Weights: Lifting weights doesn’t have to mean heavy lifting. Lower weights with high reps can help your muscles stay tone. Higher weights with lower repetitions can help build new muscle. Staying strong supports your body’s frame (skeleton), helps protect against fragility, and keeps the body ABLE.
Gratitude: People who notice what is going well in life tend to be happier. What you focus on grows, so GROW MORE GOOD. Take time each day to be grateful and appreciative of people, situations, experiences, emotions, etc.
Self-Care: Carving out time for self-growth, prayer, bath, breathing exercises, meditation, reading, resting, napping, etc. can provide deep nourishment and support on a cellular level and a soul-ular level.
Writing / Journaling: Journaling is therapeutic. Spending even 10 minutes per day writing helps release stress and frustrations, supports better sleep, and can improve overall mental health.
Pleasure: Make pleasure a priority. Pick your pleasure… hobbies, things you do for enjoyment, intimacy, connection, etc.
I want you to know that I hear you.
You’re trying to do all the things, and there’s so much to consider.
Trust me, you’re doing great! Just stay with it…
