In a dream,

I was talking with Jesus.

I asked about

the most memorable part of His life.  

Expecting to hear

of miracles, teachings, crucifixion, or betrayal,

He smiled and told me, instead,

about His most important days.

“Of them all,

the most precious days of my life

were when I was in

the tomb.

What I felt in the tomb

was the most

ALIVE

of all my experiences -

the quiet cave,

where there were no barriers

between me and my Father,

broken beyond hurting,

my feelings no longer existed

as every part of me had been

completely overwhelmed.

I knew life and death

as one

for three glorious days. 

One foot in this world,

one foot in His heaven.

Me in total surrender,

Him making a miracle of me.

He pulled me from the cave

only when He was finished with me.

My suffering was finished

when He declared it was so. 

Then,

It was Him who rose in me. 

It was

a most merciful

resurrection.”

In wonder I humbly asked,

“What did it feel like to rise?”

He placed His hand

on my heart and whispered,

“I will show you.

Follow me.”
