Hungry Heart

This is a short excerpt from my workshop last year entitled, “Hungry Heart: Holistic Ways to Nurture the Heart.” Focusing on practical methods of nurturing the organ most associated with love, I explored heart energetics, connection, aromatherapy, stress-management, nutrition, and more!

Food is an ideal and holistic way to nurture specific organs and body systems.

There are many foods that can nourish the heart.

A few of my favorites include:

  • watermelon

  • tomatoes

  • green leafy vegetables

  • berries

  • oatmeal

  • extra virgin olive oil

  • green tea

  • dark chocolate

  • pomegranate juice.

For maximum benefits, add these items to your daily diet. Or better yet, pair them up! Some options are:

  • Oatmeal + berries

  • Leafy greens + tomatoes + EVOO

  • Dark chocolate + berries for dessert

Nourishing the heart may improve overall health and may also decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease, so there’s no better reason to feed your heart.

Sending you love,

Jacquelyn
